After practically no sleep and a serious reconsideration of the whole endeavour, we packed up at dawn in a field in Clovelly. I’d moved my tent in the night to avoid the chance of getting killed by a falling branch, so dragged everything back up to the top of the field to watch the sun rise as I packed everything away.

With bags on our back, we headed back to the car park via Mount Pleasant. My phone camera had no chance of capturing the beauty of the sunrise, but here’s a few overly saturated images to try and convery something of that time…

The big burning ball is up and about!

The light was beautiful. Totally not captured here.

The day was different from the last three, and involved a few busses, several pubs and a bloke called Dave (you’ll have to read the book if you want more details!).

We got to Bude as planned in the evening, had some food, got some supplies and then headed to Cerenity Eco Campsite. It was nice to set up with some light still about, and even nicer to have a hot shower!

Fed, showered and with tents all ready, we headed off for an early night hoping for some decent recovery to be able to tackle the days ahead.
